abs pain during crunches

I just started weight training a few weeks ago. Recently, I started having a sharp pain in one of my right abdominal muscles. I tried giving my abs some rest for a few days thinking my abs needed some recovery time, but it isn't any better. It only bothers me when I exercise my abs, and it is only one specific point in my abs. It's not a lot of pain, and I could work through it if I want. Should I work through the pain? Let it rest more? See a doctor?

Seeing as it only happens when you are doing the crunches, what I would suggest is trying to treat it like a stitch. When it happens, push down on the pain and see if it releases it. If this doesn't work, please go to a doctor or ask the trainers at the gym for some stretches for it
