About me/ I need some guidance

I'm 5'5, weigh about 150, size 9 in jeans, medium top etc.
I lift weights 3 times a week, exercise daily for about an hour, play that ddr game x2 a week. i don't eat that much. and starting a few weeks ago. i have completely given up pop, fast food, and candy. But, I haven't seen that much improvement as I thought I would be. I really would like to loose 10 pounds by january. i have really fat legs and a big tummy tummy and it really bothers me. it doesn't look healthy at least not to me. what can i do? i really want skinnier thighs & calves. and whats the number of crunches that you all recommend for me to do per night to see a difference in my tummy. just help please. the amound i'd like to loose eventually would be a total of 25 pounds before may (my prom). please help.

hello kattie :)

congrats on giving on the junk food, thats a big step in the right direction. you say you dont eat much, but dont make the mistake of eating too little. thats not good and will cause problems in the long run.

make sure to eat at least roughly every 3 hours. your foods should come from complete proteins, complex carbs and good fats. a good amount of water is vital each and every day. how does your current meal plan look?

10lbs by january is not a healthy goal. but by may you should see a tremendous difference if you try hard enough. to see a difference in your tummy is more about total calories burned vs eaten, not about crunches. ;)

Thanks Abear for responding.

But hm, my meal plan is basically well. Okay, I don't eat breakfast and I know thats suppose to be the most important meal of the day, but I don't feel good when I eat it. But, mid morning I try and I really try to like eat some yogurt or something. Then for lunch, since I'm at school its hard to find healthy food so I eat some kind of sandwhich with milk. Then for dinner my dinner usually includes rice, meat, vegetables with orange juice/milk.

what food do you suggest that i be eating? then about my stomach what am i suppose to do about that? because, whenever i ask someone all i hear is crunches is the way to a flatter stomach. or is that involves along with cutting calories down? THANKS FOR YOU HELP

this is a link to a good grocery list

if EATING breakfast is a problem for you, try drinking it. some kind of smoothie or meal replacement drink is better than nothing. pretty basically, when you dont feed your body, its gonna hang on to bodyfat and sacrifice lean muscle. this will throw your metabolism out of whack. the sandwich with milk at school is good. so is your dinner. that link above will give you some more ideas so you'll have more variety.

working your abs is good dont stop but if you have fat covering them crunches themselves wont make the fat go away. its a complete effort with training and nutrition. :)
