Abdominal exersizes?

My stomach is MUUUUCH smaller than it was, but it seems like I'm not loosing as much fat in my stomach, especially my lower stomach. I currently do regular crunches, and then crunches where I bring my knees and elbows together, also the other day someone told me about this yoga exercise, where you put your toes, forearms and elbows on the ground, keep your back straight and hold it, but I'm thinking I should do more of a variety than that. Can I have some suggestions for exercises that will target my abdomen?

Are you trying to gain more muscle there or trying to lose fat there..

cause you can't lose weight in specific areas. Geneticly, you will gain weight in one order and lose it in the reverse.

put your knees in the air, bent, and connect your elbow to the opposite knee. I do 40-50 of these x 4 and you definately feel the burn

Do you have access to the gym? Even if you have an exercise ball you can do this one - try pushups with your feet propped on the ball.

For lower abs, you can use dipping bars to hold your body up, with your back against the wall/equiptment, and lift your legs to form your body into an L shape (I hope I am explaining this one ok!)

You can also check out youtube for some great tips. Good luck!

This exercise is called the bicycle maneuver--look it up on youtube.

If you have weak inner abs, the belly will poke out even if you losing weight
the best thing is to strenghtened the inner abs
with the "plank" or "vaccum stomach training"

Fitnessmom, someone was telling me about that plank exercise about a week or two ago, apparently its used in yoga. I've been doing it every other day, a minute at a time. It hurts like hell, so that must mean its doing something, lol.

MB1 I have been using plank exercise for my abs regularly in my workouts and found it quite effective. The Plank exercise is one of the best exercises because it tightens the deep, core muscles.
