AB workouts at home!

Ab workouts are one of the worst to burn fat... To burn fat weight lift the large muscle groups and do cardio.

For ab strengthening do leg raises, twisting crunches, crunches, and vacuum (in that order).

Try twice per week.
 
When you do ab workouts, your ab muscles get bigger.

There is no such thing as "spot training" - i.e., doing curls won't remove fat from your arms, doing pushups won't remove fat from your chest.
 
you could do abs until you are red in the face but the only way you are going to see those muscles is with a healthy diet and cardio
 
I love these threads where everyone reinforces the same idea over and over and over. (I don't love when they don't get the idea though :))
 
Well I diet... I guess I will do more cardio perhaps 30 minutes a day...
I do know lifting bigger muscles help with the fat loss.
Was just wondering what were some good ab workouts to do.
 
My wife has "7 minute abs" - I think that's what it's called. I've done with her on occassion and it's pretty good.
 
I was lifting weights for months because everybody told me weight lifting burned an unbeleivable amount of calories, so I could get size while burning the fat off the top....NOPE! Although I got alot stronger I still appeared to be a fat mess. Did atkins for 3 months, lost 60lbs! Look good feel great, and I even retained some of the muscle (not much). But now I'm STARTING to notice my abs coming in.
 
What weight lifting does for you is increases your metabolism for extended periods of time. The increase in muscle mass also burns more calories per day. Weight training compounded with proper diet and cardio does wonders for fat loss. Unfortunately its not as useful by itself in the fat loss department.

be VERY carefull coming of the Atkins diet, if you just start eating regularly one day you'll gain fat like there's no tomorrow. Atkins BAD!

how many each though? and whats vacuum?
