A serious question about poop

Aight. I've been on this "clean" diet for about 17 days now. The fat's coming off. I'm losing weight, and it's been great so far. But there's one thing that I'm worried about... my crap.

I usually poop first thing in the morning. I just sit on the toilet, and it would happen almost automatically. But recently (probably the past 3-4 days), I've been having problems with it.

First problem is that I dun feel the urge to go to the bathroom anymore in the mornings. I go anyway, and I force it out. The poop comes out in really thin, short strands... or other times, like small pebbles. The second problem is that the volume is a lot smaller than it had been in the past.... probably not even a tenth of what it used to be.

I mean, I eat plenty of fiber. I count my calories, and it's around 2300-2400, so I definitely eat enough, but I dun understand why this is happening to me all of a sudden.

Anybody have any advice? suggestions?

LIke the same thing happend to me, i just couldnt crap at all for a week or 2. Eat wheat chex that helped me...thats what my cousin told me to get she is a health person

maybe your body is eating more of the dense calories your eating, as before, your body wasted the useless empty calories you were eating. just a guess though.

Im with corp on that one. Im the same way. I think since your eating clean your body just isn't producing as much waste as it was, and your using the nutrients in your food better. Now I have heard if you intake too much protein and not enough carbs you can suffer from constipation, I don't know if its true or not, I just heard it.

I just take 2 psyllium husks pill a day and have no problems. One in the morning and one in the evening before meals with 8 to 16oz of water.

Don't force it out bro! Allow nature to take its course... Unless you fancy having your ass hanging out in the fresh air!

eat more fiber (like that chex cereal)... that'll do the trick. when i haven't "moved" for two days... i eat more fiber. it promotes good digestion by providing "bulk" to your stool :) it also helps cleanse your digestive system (GI track). I buy fibrosine at my local drugstore but i dont know if its available there in your country. It's a tasteless powder that dissolves in water and it can also be mixed with food since it's tasteless. costs around $ 0.50 (30 Pesos)

Don't know how old you are, I had a similar problem years ago and was then diagnosed later with irritable Bowel syndrome at 28. But as long as it doesn't start hurting in your sides you are probably fine.

There are certain foods you can eat to improve constipation naturally. I wouldn't resort to drugs.

For ex. some foods that lubricate the intestands are: spinach, banana, pear, carrots. Some foods that increase bowel movement are cbbage, peas, figs. There are also herbs you can make tea from like senna. Senna is Nr.1 but has nasty taste.
