A New Plan

I've been here before, but I've failed miserably. However, I did lose half a stone with the help of this site, but I've fallen off the trail since then. Depressing. I have kept that weight off though.
Anyway, I'm going to use this site to track everything I eat, because that really helped before. If anyone reading could make suggestions about ways to improve my eating habits, it would be appreciated. And good luck to everyone on here, we can do it!
 
you bet your butt you can do it - welcome back -- and be prloud of yourself for keeping te weight off... that's great

if you start posting your menus - people will happily make suggestions on ways to improve it....

Day 1

Day 1 started out a bit depressing, as I was three pounds heavier than what I had estimated. Ah well. Anyway, it is now 23.09, and I haven't fucked up, so I feel like the day has been successfully completed!

Here is my food diary for day 1:

  • cornflakes & country store with whole milk
  • fennel tea
  • vegetable soup & 2 slices of brown bread with 2 sachets of butter
  • apple
  • chai tea
  • potatoes, carrots, sugar snap peas & mini whiting fillets with garlic sauce, garlic & herb dip and tomato relish
  • mug of light milk
 
day 1 is over and done - get a good nights rest and on to day 2 :D

what is country store?

are you also getting water into your day as well?
 
Yeah, but it's impossible to keep track of that, so just take it as a given. :)

Country Store is so yummy, it's like muesli, but better.

Just a few things that popped in mind when reading your day 1 diary..

You could save room for calories and fat by exchanging the whole milk for a less fat/caloric version. You may not even notice the taste difference since it's in the cereal.

Do you sweeten your tea at all and if so, with what?
 
Yeah, muesli rocks! I had to have whole milk this morning, because we didn't have any light stuff in the house. To be honest though, I don't think it makes a huge difference, because milk isn't fattening at all, contrary to popular belief. Unless you're drinking gallons of the stuff of course.

And I don't take sugar in my tea, and never in the herbal stuff. So that's at least one vice I don't have to deal with.
 
Day 2

My food diary is absolutely horrific at the moment, but I went away for the weekend, so take it that it's kind of like holiday food. I still lost two pounds though, yay! However I managed it.

  • cornflakes & country store with light milk
  • tea & light milk
  • tuna, lettuce & coleslaw in 2 slices of white bread
  • cappuccino
  • benecol yoghurt drink
  • white rice, spiced rice, lamb curry, spicy balti potatoes & naan bread
  • savoury indian pancakes & scoop of vanilla ice cream
  • bottle of white wine
  • 3 vodkas & coke
  • vodka & blackcurrant
  • corona
  • vodka & red bull
  • vodka, wkd & coke

Disaster with all the alcohol, when I actually thought about all that I drank, and the damage it must be doing to my body, I felt bad. So I've decided that I'm definitely cutting back. The Indian I had was lovely, and I never have Indian, so that was something new to my digestive system. The only reason I had dessert was because a girl I didn't know cooked for me, and it would be incredibly rude to refuse it. I didn't go for seconds though, even though I wanted to!

Day 3

Day 3 isn't much better, I'm ashamed to say.

  • 2 sausages, 2 fried eggs, rasher, beans, ketchup & 2 slices of toast with 2 satchets of butter
  • tea & whole milk
  • cappuccino
  • orange juice
  • 2 pints of bulmers
  • ham, coleslaw, cheese & onion in 2 slices of white bread
  • banana
  • goodfellas cajun chicken solo pizza slice
 
Day 4

I'm down another pound this morning. Absolutely delighted.

  • 1 weetabix, special k & light milk
  • tea & light milk
  • tea & whole milk
  • chips & ketchup, 2 slices of white bread toasted with bacon, cheese & tomato, & salad of cucumber, lettuce, tomato & peppers with a vinegar dressing
  • sno natural yoghurt
  • tea & whole milk
  • half a twirl bar
  • special k & light milk
  • 80g galaxy chocolate bar
