A New Me!!

Hello World,

My name is Scott, I am 33 years old and live in Oregon. I have been overweight almost all my life due to my own poor decisions. Growing up I had a great childhood. I live in a small town, with a park a block away that had a pool ( i spent most summers at the pool ). I was active in sports and was always chubby since I had a bad habit of sneaking food, but I was active. Fast forward to my 20's. I had moved in with some friends that were in collage and fell into the party scene. I even worked as a bartender for 3 years. I drank hard and smoked a lot, and had a lot of fun along the way. Buy my mid 20's I was topping the scale at 400lbs. at that point I started dieting and working out regularly (yet still drink a lot) and over a summer dropped to 289. As I got into my late 20's I was still living the college lifestyle and gained some back weighing 320. Into my 30's I could not take the drinking anymore. I started getting bad hangovers which I never used to get and just got tired of it and quit smoking and quit drinking. I was working 2 full time jobs and then when I turned 31 I got laid off one and the other went out of business. I ended up back living with my parents. I got real depressed about being in my 30's and living with my parents and coupled with not being able to find work, I started eating like crap again. A year later I finally found a good job. By then I was up to 379 pounds. I soon joining a gym again and a year and a half later I am now at 328. Most of the time I would go to the gym one maybe twice a week.

Recently I went to the doctors to have a physical since it has been at least 10 years since I have had one. Everything came up fine except my blood pressure, which was high. Now I am on blood pressure medicine and have a new fire under me to lose weight and get healthy. I have to go back in 3 months to get a check up and I want to be under 300 lbs when I do.

I hope this wasn't to long of a intro!

See ya around the boards!

Scott!

Hey hun! I'm confused..You say it the first line that you're 22...But then go on to say "and then in my thirties". Maybe just a typing error?

Welcome to the boards and congrats on your progress so far, hope you can get under 300lbs for your check up!
