In Short : Everyone has the same ammount of abdominal muscles but different ammounts of subcutaneous fat covering them.
Nobody said:Abs are genetics. Some people have 4, some people have 6, some people have 8.

According to The Anatomy and Physiology text book (marieb 6th Edition) "The grand plan of the muscular system is all the more impressive because of the sheer number of them. There are 624. ALL INDIVIDUALS MALE AND FEMALE DISPLAY THIS MUSCLE STRUCTURE ONLY VARYING IN POINTS OF INSERTION AND SOME DISPARITIES IN TENDONS AND LIGAMENTS (e.g. Hallucus Longus)".
Furthermore:
The muscles of the abdominal region consist of. Rectus Abdominus, External Oblique, internal oblique and transverse abdominus.
So by saying that some people do not posess an eight pack you contridict a doctor of 46 years with Ph. D's in Human anatomy and Zoology.
But hey if you sure your right.........![]()
I do agree with you that the visablilty is genetic. But that is purely due to fat dispersion not the ammount of muscles.
