Hey!

My sister just got married, so I completely understand how you want to look your best for that day. Congrats! Unfortunately, 30 lbs. in 3 weeks is not only near impossible, the bigger issue is it's not healthy.

That doesn't mean that you can't keep heading in a heathly direction and lose some weight before the wedding.

Food is key! (I'd say about 80% of weight loss is from what you eat, 20% exercise). I used to exercise like crazy and barely lose weight. Now that I know a lot about nutrition the weight has fallen off (not over night though). What types of things do you eat on a regular basis?

I used to eat salad's and stayed on the "revised" (my version of Atkins diet) and it did wonders, I saw pounds came off like 2-3 pounds daily for months, after the platoue effect of nearly 2 weeks when i started, but now i eat salad's, sometimes i'll sneak in a subway footlong and staying on a low calorie diet, consuming around 1800 calories daily.

For morning i'll have a cup of coffee and some cereal or eggs, and for lunch some vegetable soup or salad, and for dinner... well it varies at times i'll eat nothing and at times i'll eat subway foot long at around 7-8 p.m.

Is the salad diet something you can sustain for the rest of your life? Most people fear the calorie and think if they eat more calories they'll gain more. In many cases it's the opposite, if body doesn't get enough food and it goes into starvation mode (Below 1200 calories).

For me the more healthy food i ate the more i lost weight, even though I was getting more calories. Why is this? Because the food I put into my body actually increases weight loss. So what do I eat?

Food packed with fiber (fiber pushes things through the intestine), fruits, veggies, whole grains, lean meat, and loads of water. I'll send you an example of food I'd eat a day and see what you think. Hope it can be of some help.

I try to get in from 8-10 glasses of water (Seems a lot, but helps with water retention).

Breakfast
Oat bran/ Oatmeal (High in fiber :)!).

Fruit (Apple also high in fiber, but any fruit will do)

Nuts, optional (Almonds or walnuts, may be high in fat, but it's a good fat and we need fat in our diet)

Lunch

Sandwich (2 slices whole wheat bread, mustard, lean meat preferably fresh. Deli meat has a lot of sodium in it).

Vegetable (Steamed broccoli or broiled tomato with fresh parmesan cheese on top)

6 Triscuits (Also high in fiber)

Dinner
Salmon or some type of fish with good omega-3 fatty acids

brown rice and black beans

Veggie (could be salad, raw veggies, or something steamed).

Make sure that the portion is one serving. If you eat all the healthy food, but have a billion servings that also can hinder the weight loss process.

:)

Welcome Max

Congratulations on your wedding and on your excellent weight loss results to date.

However i couldn't agree more with REd. She's spot on. If you want to maintain your low weight and keep healthy in the long term you need to learn a bit more about good nutrition and eat a better diet. I think what you are eating may not be enough and your metabolism may be too slow.

I think for the next three weeks, you get into exercise and weight training in particular but get someone who can guide to enable you do it in a healthy way. If you are unfit you will need the assistance to avoid injury.

You look like you just need to put on some muscle mass and lose a bit of fat. Your weight looks not too bad from the pics but i don't know how tall you are.

There's lot of useful info in my diary thread follow some of the links and work it all through for your own body. Calorie control, bmr etc. You need to get a bit of a grip on that stuff.

The good thing in what you've told us at least is that you are eating salads and vegetables.

Congratulations on your wedding! If you're Honey loves you now, she'll wait for you to lose the rest of your weight after you're married.

That sounds good under the circumstances. Are you going to continue after the wedding. Two hours sounds like a lot to do every day, I would cut back to something more sustainable. You will have to hang out with your wife a bit you know.

this is not a good plan for weight training, firstly training the same muscles every day will lead to injuries and you don't have any lower body exercises in your plan.

I would suggest you start a Journal in the diary section and start logging your food and exercise so you can get more detailed help.
