Hello!
So this is my first diary posting.
I am so excited to be here. I guess to give some background information...I recently went through a tough breakup with a boyfriend of over a year. During our relationship, I definitely catered to him and his lifestyle. Whereas I have always been a more active person, he wanted to always order take out and sit on the couch. Yeek...definitely learned a lesson there. So the only thing this relationship left me with was a few extra pounds...I've decided I need to lose some weight to leave this relationship behind and get back to "old me".
I used to be an avid runner, doing something like 6 miles a day. Well...I've started back up and I definitely can't go that far anymore haha. It's nice though because I live close to a lake, so I'm trying to get into the habit of waking up and going for a run in the morning. My classes are almost over for the semester (Tuesday is my last exam!). So I will hopefully have more time to get some good workouts in.
I'm also trying to change the way I eat....which is hard. I've totally gotten used to the whole "eating out" lifestyle. It's definitely what's been coming slower for me as opposed to the exercise. But I really do LOVE healthy food. So it shouldn't be as hard.
This morning I went for a run and have been exercising around the apartment.
I'm overall feeling positive. I think in the past when I've tried "dieting" I've gone into the situation expecting to fail and also not realizing that it's my lifestyle that I need to change. That's what's different this time, and I'm fully ready for it.
Hope to see you all around!
Lena
