a few questions

how much water should i drink a day?

is it ok to get only 6 hours of sleep?

if i go to sleep for like 5 hours and wake up and go to work then come back and sleep for like 3 more hours is that ok?

is tuna fish bad for you?

is it ok for ur muscles to still be sore 3 days after u work out,,

if im just laying down and not sleeping..are my muscles growing?

80 ounces

no, not if u can get 8, 6 can take its toll after a while

its better than 6 hours, but 8 hours continuous is the best

to much is bad(mercury.. etc), as long as u dont rely on that as ur sole protein source

if ur muscles are still sore 3 days after a work out, most likely ur doing something wrong, too little sleep can cause that, too little protein, or a combination

probably not as fast as if you were sleeping, but as long as ur body is in the parasympathetic nervous mode yes

growth hormone is released when you sleep, thats where you may have gotten confused. Thats why its also important to get 8 hours of sleep. Studies show that growth hormone is released between hours 6 and 8 of sleep.

You can't be serious with these questions. Drink as much water as you like! Sleep 'till you feel you've had enough..??

Pumpster: I know plenty of people that, if told to drink "as much water as they like", would drink none and opt for soda's, coffee and juices. Water is ESSENTIAL for a devoted athlete or exerciser. A minimum of 64 ounces must be had in a day to maintain basic hydration. 80 ounces would be even more beneficial.

Sleep too is essential not only for physical well being but mental well being as well. Sure, wake up when your body wants to wake you up. If it's 6 hours, so be it. But if you're forcing yourself to wake up after 6 hours...try to squeeze in some more.

It's based on your size/weight - i'm 5'10" 190lbs - about a gallon a day.

8 is better than 6, but 6 is better than 4....

Sure, it won't hurt.

Tuna is good for you, but the stuff you put in your tuna may not be.

Depends, if you've been real lazy for real long and all of a sudden got off your real lazy arse and worked out - I could see them being sore for 3 days.

Your muscles grow as they repair. My understanding is yes they do repair when awake but not as significantly as when you sleep.
