I hope! :biggrinjester:

I'm 41 years old, I'm 12 stone 10 (again!) and 5 foot 4.:gnorsi:

I'm in a very healthy and loving relationship with Steve, my 6 foot 5 teddy bear and we have been living together for 3.5 years now.... The problem was that I was 11 stone when I met him and have been cooking our meals and not really making much of a difference between the helpings for him and me... And - I have 4 jobs which makes exercise almost impossible at the moment... because of time.... although I do walk the dogs every morning so at least I'm being mobile... :toetap05:

I would like to go down to a healthy 25 BMI and a size 14 again and that is going to take a lot of hard work and perseverance... I'm great at any diet for the first month but I lose interest easily and my biggest problem isnt chocolate - no,... that would be TOO easy... I have a wine and pizza problem... I do try to be good but when I blow out that is what I end up doing... :banghead::banghead:

So, my intention for the rest of the month of January is to not have one drop which means I wont give in to the pizza.... I'm also going to start a detox next monday for just over a week, just to rid myself of the bloated, tired feeling. I've done it before and lost 8lb in 9 days... but that was a side effect - the detox was the main thing and I felt absolutely brilliant afterwards!

So I will keep you all updated as to what I'm doing - just to be real to myself more than anything... I'm having a day without food today as am feeling quite ill... I'm going home in a minute - some sort of bug... so that will be my kickstart.. LOL... :nopity::nopity:

Welcome to the board,

I've done it before and lost 8lb in 9 days...
My advice for your attempt this time would be... take it easy, that's a huge loss for someone of your height and weight in such a short period, and would be difficult to maintain, indeed. I'm sure you can find some lasting changes to introduce into your diet, and even look for parts of your daily routine where you can increase the exercise you do, through additional walking for example.

Good luck, this site is full of great motivational and inspiring threads, I'm sure you'll find some!

Thanks for that - it wasnt what I was trying to do - I was doing a 9 day detox and the weight loss was the side effect ... :biggrinjester:

I did feel brilliant afterwards and didnt feel as if I was missing anything during it either... The great thing is that my asthma disappeared during those 9 days too so there is definately something to be said for healthly living...

I've managed to keep it well under control since - which is fantastic for a chronic asthmatic.... no steroids!!!

But point taken - I live in the stix unfortunately, so have to drive everywhere and park outside of work in the middle of a town .... if I parked anywhere else I would have to pay... :banghead: so need to find a way to exercise whilst at work -although I very rarely take a lunch hour... :svengo: I already do the stairs but as its only 1 floor building thats not going to make too much of a difference..... :banghead:

LOL.... Sound familiar to anyone? :gnorsi:

Dear Diary

Its been 5 days since my last entry - forgive me! :hug2:

I have had 2 training days in that time and a night on the alchohol.... forgive me!

I kept to my detox for a total of 56 hours at the longest and have lost 2lbs, gained 2lbs(weekend) and then lost it again.... - forgive me! :lurk5:

I was good all day yesterday until the boyfriend bought an Indian dinner home from Tescos - I did TRY to be good and kept away from the rice and the naan bread but I faltered with the Bombay Potatoes and Chicken Tikka - forgive me! :banghead::banghead::banghead:

I promise to be a good girl for at least the next 2 days - I am drinking lots of water and Berry Nectar to keep me hydrated, eaten fruit and taken my Garcinia and supplements as promised...
:nopity:
I also promise to have plenty of vegetables and quorn for tonights dinner - no wheat or alchohol will pass my lips.:angelsad2:

Amen
:)

You know, I think you might be trying to make this harder than it is. Not sure why you feel like you need to do the detox as ..ok never mind. Staying on the good positive side :)

Maybe a better (or least a way you won't have to keep saying forgive me) is to approach your weight loss in a different way. You already started a diary here so why not make it a food diary. Record everything you eat for a week and look for changes that can be made. You don't need to do things like detox or not eating what you would like. I bet you could make simple changes that would be easy to follow and see the same results :)
