A Bit Confused

Hi,

I'm a female, age 18. I have normally been thin in my life but have found some parts of my body to have more weight which doesn't go with the rest of my body. Let me explain.

The top half of my body and arms seem okay - except my stomach which sometimes comes out a bit more than I want it to and not flat.

Then my legs are okay too except my bottom, my thighs I'm not too concerned about but it could loose a small amount.

Then my face - my cheeks and 'double chin' which could loose weight. Now I have a question: why does it go to these parts of the body? My chest is not so big - why can't it go there? What can I do to lose the weight in places I don't want it to.

Fat is stored in various places on the body according to genetic programming from evolution, and it varies in genders and the locations where it is stored and in what percentage. That is why I laugh when I see infomercials talking about exercises to remove fat from this spot or that spot specifically. The way to get fat off any spot is to lose fat from all spots, through generalized fat loss weight reduction.

Thank you. Do you know what type of excercise I should do? I don't really keep fit so I don't mind starting now.

Scour the forums here and ask what works, there are so many weight loss methods that many believe in, use, that work, don't work. I would not want to tell you which one is right for you. All depends on your food budget, lifestyle, exercises you like or do not like, etc.
