Hello everyone. This is my first post, and i applogise if its in the wrong place.

Short story out of a long one, I'm a 28 year old Male, i'm 6'3 and way 490 pounds. Now, i know I've lost weight over the years, as at one point i believe i was well above 500 plus pounds, but i suffer from OCD and Anxitity and Depression, and i know for a fact I've lost weight due to now i can walk some distances without feeling out of breath or tired, and feel, more mobile.

That said, I've recently this month (july) have changed my diet. While back in 2006 due to my OCD i gave up all sugar rich foods and haven't since then drank a drop of soda, (i drink nothing but water, been doing that close to 5 years now) lately i decided to stop eating the junk food at 711 (cheeseburger big bites, corn dogs, there fried wraps, etc) and now i've started a life style change of what i figure, low calorie foods such as chicken breasts in whole grain wraps, with lettus and cheese, 2 eggs and cheerios with no milk.

Yet i do skip meals from time to time, (i almost never eat 3 meals a day) and somehow I've gain weight.

I recently saw my nutritionist and i added 10 pounds from where i was in janurary (481) but, i feel somehow lighter...i can't fully explain it.

Also, i try to be active, and lately i've been going to my gym, doing 30 full minuets on the treadmill at 2.6 mph (i can't yet keep up with anything over 3)

Now I've done that for the past 2 days, eaten 3 meals a day, so realitsticy i don't expect miracles in that time...

that said, anything i eat, no matter what i have to burn? Even if i eat nothing but salads in pre portions, according to the loose it app on my iPhone, even when i exercise vigorously, and eat right, i still have calories left over (under budget but, i consumed more then i worked out, even with very healthy foods)

today i did a full 30 minuets treadmill, and about 10-15 minuets weight lifting and right now, i feel fine except my feet are now filled with blisters..

How long should i work out a day and for how many days. I want to do 5 days in a row but i can't if i'm getting big painful blisters on my feet after 2 days. Is for now, 3 days a week a good starting point?

Also, am i eating too little or too much. I'm so confused on that matter. My nutritionist said if i miss meals, my body enters starvation mode and turns everything into fat, but i don't also want to over eat too...and I'm confused with the calories counting as well.

any help would be grateful.

According to the BMR calculator you burn 3800 calories per day just existing, so if you ate anything less than 3800 per day you should lose weight, that's not exersizing at all.

I would start out VERY simple. Eat healthy: Salads, lean meats, good carbs and walk for 25-30 minutes per day. If you start out slow and simple you'll be more likely to stick to a healthier life style in the long run.

Good Luck :)

thanks. today i think I'm going to take the day off walking cause i got a huge painful blister on my left foot, from over doing it. but for the short term I'm just going to walk half n hour every other day and eat healthy and hopefully should see an improvement

Walking is the best place to start regarding exercise. Make sure you have a good pair of shoes for walking. If they're pretty old, you may want to get a new pair. This may help with your blister problem.
