90 Day Challenge Before & After

Hey everyone,

First allow me to tell you guys a little bit about myself. I'm 17 years old, I'm a senior in high school, and I'm a pretty outgoing guy. I love sports, I love being with people, hanging out with friends, dating girls, and just doing the normal teenage stuff. However, I could be happier about my appearance.

Right now, I'm about 6 feet tall and I currently weigh at 205.5 pounds. My goal weight would be to reach around 180-185. Do you think that's possible?

I'm going to be posting pictures of Day 1, 15, 30, 45, 60, 75, and finally day 90. I will also keep you guys updated on how much I weigh as well. I appreciate the support, the criticism, the advice, and anything else you have to add. Day 1 was yesterday....Saturday, March 12th.

I'll keep it updated. Thanks again!

Day 14 already! I'm doing so well up to this point! As promised, Day 15 pictures will be up tomorrow morning as well as an updated weigh in! Can't wait!

Hey guys!

Day 15 is here, and so far I want to thank everyone that has shown me support through out the first 15 days up to this point.

I started my 90 day challenge at 205.5 lbs. I just want to let everyone know, I have been averaging around 2000 calories per day, and I've been actively working out, doing a combination of weights and cardio.

Today I stepped on the scale, and weighed 195.5 lbs. That's a total net loss of 10 pounds so far.

I'm feeling great, and I'm more confident than I was two weeks ago. Here are the pictures from today's weigh in.

Thank you again for all the encouragement :):)

Great job! Definitely see a difference, my friend. Keep up the great work!
What is your daily routine/meal plan, if you dont mind my asking

I can see a definite difference, especially around your tummy/love handles.

Great work, keep it up!

I've had great success weight training with basic compound movements involving many muscle groups. Stuff like squats (below parallel !), deadlifts, overhead press, bench press, etc... have proven the best mass building exercises. I personally would squat 3 times a week (3 sets of 5-8reps on non-consecutive days) trying to add 5 pounds on the bar at every workout. Squats are the ULTIMATE exercise and challenging the whole body with a linear progression like that will release growth hormone like nothing else. All your other lifts will improve if you can simply maintain progression on the squat.

If you want more info, I suggest reading "Starting Strength" by Mark Rippetoe, it really changed my outlook on weight training.

By the way, awesome progress so far ! Keep up the great work !!

Weigh in tomorrow morning! (Day 22)

No pictures though. Pictures are taken every two weeks, so Day 30 will be new pictures.

Still, will be posting new weight tomorrow morning. Last week was 195.5

Wow man, your an inspiration, Im 205lbs the exact same weight as you were when you started. And you've already lost almost 15 lbs in 20 odd days, WOW! congratulations. I recently started running on the treadmill and elliptical and lifting weights. I'm also watching what I'm eating and trying to consume less than 2000 calories a day. I must say though your 2 hour work out plans scare me. I work out for roughly 1 hour a day, 30 min cardio, 30 min lifting. And I find after the 1 hour my body is completely pooped. How do you manage?

You've been dong great, keep up the good work.:)

p.s Is an apple really 110 calories, i thought they were like 50 to 80 depending on the size, I hope there not 110 because i eat at least 2 apples a day. :(

I wouldn't worry about calories from eating 2 apples a day! I've heard that apples are 'negative calorie food', that is it takes the body more energy to digest an apple then the amount of calories in an apple.

Anyways, I've talked to more than one doctor/health professional about eating and weight loss and everyone I've talked to has recommended eating apples when trying to lose weight. :)

Hey, thanks a lot for the kind words, it made my day when I read this. As far as the workout plan goes, I just kind of push myself through it. Don't get me wrong, I'm pretty tired at the end of them, but the motivation and drive to get into shape has never been at a higher point for me than right now, so I do the extra reps/lifts/ect....because I'm so motivated to get into better shape.

I always keep myself hydrated, drinking plenty of water. But ultimately, I'm motivated, and I want it, and I don't care how hard I have to work to get it.

Thank you again for the kind words, it means a lot.
