8 years of trying

I'm sick of trying to lose weight. I have been as high as 315 and as low as 235 but have never found a consistent way of changing my life style. I'm not going to list the things I've done to lose weight. I'm ashamed of several of them.

I'm ready to just say screw it and give up. I know that sounds crazy and like another whining fat person but it just seems so hard to care after this long.

I'm 25 and 275.

Ok so it's a brand new day.. and what you've done in the past hasn't worked

get over it -- learn from it and move on...

If you want to screw it and give up - go ahead... you are the only person who can make you do anything - you are the person who has to live with yourself...

Oh wait - this is where i'm supposed to say -oh don't give up you can do it..

I read people say that all the time and i think it's mostly bullshit..

You can do whatever you put your mind to..

What does your mind want to do?

Why do you want to lose weight/
Why do you want to stay fat?

Which list has better answers?

There's a wealth of info onthis forum to help educate you in putting together a plan that will work - you have to do it for yourself -no one is going to do it for you... Spend some time reading the stickied threads - ask questions - question the answers... there are peoople who are dooing it who have tried and failed a lot longer than you've been alive -8 years is nothing... :D

Decide what you really want to do - for you - becuase only you can make it happen..

i think you need too look at what you did in the past and see it as a learning curve, its all about finding what works for you.

i few things that personaly help me...

unless you live alone and controle exactly what food comes in and out the house, have your own sepperate food cupbord, this way you dont even have too see any junk food.

only do what excersize you enjoy..be it weight lifting or sport, find something active you enjoy and have fun..its all well and good too say "im going too run on the treadmill 5 times a week" but unless you acctualy enjoy it its unlikely you will be able too stick too it for long.

set realistic goals, its all too easy too exspect amazing quick results, it just dosent work that way, exspect it too take a long time and create a lifestyle you enjoy so it dosent seem like a chore.

good luck:)
