So I'm 3 weeks into this 8 week running program where it has me increment my running and walking until I can run a certain distance at the 8 week mark.
My main goal is increased physical stamina, actually being able to workout, and being fit!
From some information I have recently read on here, weightlifting depletes glycogen and then the body resorts to fat stores for energy and any exercise after that helps weightloss. What I would like to do is either 1.) Weightlift on the off days or 2.) Weightlift on the same days as running.
I was just wondering if anyone has completed or is familiar with these running programs, and have any advice about adding weightlifting into your running workout. I know that eventually the running is going to get harder, but is it going to be that much more difficult to incorporate other exercises?
