I've been on my weight loss journey for about a year and half. So far I've lost 62 lbs! I've even started a weight loss and fitness blog to share my successes. For most of my journey, I've been going it solo. And now I'm just looking for a community who has experienced or is experiencing the same thing I am.

hi paige!! congrats!! Im so proud of you. I am in the same boat. 46lbs down in less than a year, im halfway to my goal! I started a fitness/journey blog too! What is your weight loss plan?

My weight loss plan what do you mean? How much weight do I want to lose? Or something else?

Welcome to the forum.

I have no idea what shernanigans had in mind with the question - but I would mean things like what is your current BMI, how much more do you want to lose, what is your goal BMI, how important is exercise, what kind of exercise, what dietary constraints are you using - eg Weight Watchers, calorie counting, high protein, high carb?

I mean what is your fitness plan such as, what is your exercise regimen, eating plans, and anything else. I always love hearing what other people's plans are because it always gives me good ideas on what to change mine up to or improve mine.

My current BMI is around 27.3 and I'd like to eventually be in the normal weight range (on the lower end preferable). I've lost about 64 pounds now. I'm at 169.9, but would like to be at least 150 or under (again, normal weight range). I'm not really obsessed with being a certain number I just want have a really good fitness level.

Since my goal is fitness and not just weight loss, I really focus on exercise. I mean nothing extreme! I don't spend 3 hours at the gym per day. I like lifting weights and other strength training exercises. Lately, I've been working with kettlebells. I do about 3 strength days a week and about 3 cardio days a week. For cardio, I like to do HIIT workouts or go jogging.

With regards to eating, I count calories. I try to eat around 1600 calories per day, which according to most calorie calculators is my BMR. I eat at least my BMR to avoid muscle loss that most people experience when losing weight and eating too restrictively. The only specific restriction I have is that I try not to eat wheat. Mainly, I just try to eat healthy. You know, very few processed products, lots of veggies, fruit, greek yogurt, lean meats, nuts and eggs. Lately, my "diet" some days is high protein/moderately high carbs and other days is high protein/moderately high good fats. It really just depends. I also try to cut refined sugar. The only sweet I have is a tiny bit of honey when I need it and occasionally some 70% or higher dark chocolate (not very sweet). Hmmm. I think I covered the high points.

What about you? What's your plan?

Great work! Keep us posted.....I have lost 40lbs and looking to lose the last 10 because I know these damn abs are in here somewhere.....

Congratulations on your great success. I am on the journey as you are. I have also losen up so much fat from my belly and hips in a years time. I have too joined forums to celebrate my success and share my experience. What i particularly go with is a healthy pure diet, loads of cardios early morning and obviously squats my favorite. It has helped me very much.
