hi

i can only see my 6 pac prperly when i tence my stomach muscle. why is this??

why cant i see my 6 pac without having to tence??

any advice people

skin has a layer of fat under it. If you have very little fat it will show without tensing, otherwise you will have to tense. To be that low in fat is what most body builders do before competition to make the muscles show more and generally more defined. Its probably not what the average guy wants to get down too :)
And in case you were going to ask, you cant spot loose weight on just your stomach, its all over .
 
but i didnt think i needed to loose weight.

im 17 years old, 6ft 1, and 72kg. how much weight do i need to loose??

or what else do i need to do??

i eat well and balanced??

Hi, just wanted to tell you that I moved this thread over to a more appropriate section. Nutrition is mainly for nutritional information and recipies and not weight loss questions, so much....

No, you don't have to loose weight. You have to burn the fat. The simplest advice I can give for this is start jogging.

Bad advice. At his body weight, jogging isn't going to do anything. He has no viseral fat to lose really at 150lbs @ 6'. Cardio is great to drop yourself down to your natural body fat level. to go lower however to really see that definition, you either have to starve yourself, or enjoy weight training. Seeing as starving yourself is stupid, weight training is the best option.

To expand further on this, look at long distance runner who do nothing but hours upon hours of cardio every day, and look at sprinters who do absolutely zero cardio. sprinters by far and away have way less body fat. cardio will only take you so far, you need resistance to take you the rest of the way.
 
i am confused now?? what do i need to do go jogging?? or what??

i have stared jogging about 3 weeks ago and have been going 2 times a week is that enough??

Jynus, I am 6'2, and I have weighted 150 lbs. I still had some excess fat on my stomach. By looking only at his weight, and height you can not be sure. If he wants to burn the excess fat he has to do cardio.

What we have to know is that if Lewis can not see his abs because of the excess fat, or another reason.

Let's not jump into conclusions based on little information,
