5x5's and 10x10's

I read an article on a website that sells supplements about 10 x 10 work outs(something I've never heard mentioned before).

I know the 5 x 5 is used a lot for strength training, and I take it 10 x 10's are volumes for hypertrophy but how would you come about choosing a weight for this?

As well as that I'd find it really difficult to believe that you could keep a work out under 45 mins to 1 hr with these volumes. Has anyone tried these? Anyone see any massive development due to these?

you would choose a weght that is challenging, no one other than you can do that.

Google "german volume training" I think that uses 10x10 and should explain it. Though it is pretty old and outdated, I don't know enough about it to recommend it or not.

Its next weekend FF, I'm tapering down at the minute(couple of 5 milers this week I think to keep things ticking along).

I ran a 1:47, 13.8 mile last tuesday so I'm well capable of doing it. I hear murmurings in my brain of running a sub 1:40....thats just the voices in my head though:)
