Okay, here goes nothing.
I have always struggled with my weight. My goal is to be able to not say that.
I joined this site a year ago under a different user name. I had some success, but then stopped using it and fell off the wagon.
I have also decided to be a little more private this time around. I will post headless pictures and leave out some details just for safety and privacy. I had someone I know recognize me on here. People can be cruel.
Here is my weight history:
I have always been curvy: I have an ass, hips and boobs - they are not going anywhere, nor do I want them to leave.
In high school I gained about 10lbs a year.
The best I ever felt was grade eleven. I was 155lbs.
That is my ultimate goal to get back to that.
Grade 12 I was 167lbs. I still felt and looked great, but not as good as the year before.
University it all went downhill.
By the end of 1st year I was 178lbs
2nd year I went up to 190lbs, but then back down to 182lbs
3rd year I stayed around 190lbs
By the end of 4th year I ballooned to 210lbs.
That was a year ago. I joined here and got down to 188lbs. Then I quickly went back up to 195lbs and kept that off for the majority of the year.
Since Christmas, I went back up to 200lbs. I've been eating healthier lately and watching portions, so I'm down 3lbs in the last 2 weeks.
I like seeing the scale go down. It's a simple thing, but it feels good.
Last year this site really helped me. So I would like to continue that and make this a more permanent thing.
My Problem Areas:
- I'm lazy!
- Asthma
- Knee/Hip injuries from yesteryears
- Carb enthusiast
- Salty Snacker
- Late Night Eater
- A love of Beer and Wine
- Portion (Un)controlled
- Low Self-Esteem
My Strengths:
- Feeling Motivated (lately)
- Competitive
- Physically Strong
- Lots of Free time to exercise
- Love to cook
- Good Knowledge of Foods
- Supportive Friends and Family
Goals:
Current Weight - 197lbs
Goal #1 - 187lbs - By the end of May
Goal #2 - 177lbs - By the end of June (my birthday)
Goal #3 - 160lbs - By the end of August
Goal #4 - 150lbs - By Christmas
These may be unrealistic, but I will learn more from my body as I go along and adjust accordingly.
Ultimately it means that I want to lose 47lbs in 8 months. That's an average of 6lbs a month - 1 1/2 lbs a week.
Everything that I have read shows me that that is managable. If I plateau or have slower progress, I won't give up...every body is different and that's okay.
But it's easy to say that, we'll see how I do.
I am in the middle of exams right now so my schedule is kind of crazy. But I am done school at the end of the month and my summer job doesn't start until July.
Therefore I have 2 full months dedicated to my health.
I got copies of the Beachbody Insanity workouts - it's a 60 day program so that works in well. Anyone done it before? Or know of people's success/failure with it?
Please please please feel free to comment, ask questions, give advice, etc. I thrive off of it!
Sincerely,
S.
