Hi!

I'm going on my honeymoon in 5 weeks (the wedding was last year, it took us this long to save for the honeymoon!). Right now I'm 5'8 and weigh around 143-145 pounds. I'm quite muscular, but I want to lose some more fat before we go. The catch is...I bruised my tailbone a week ago, and I have to stay away from anything high impact or anything that might pull on it (deadlifts, etc.). I'm not sure how long it will be before I can do much exercise. I'm just wondering what my best option is to lose fat as quickly as possibly, while not hurting my tailbone. Hopefully I will feel better in a couple of weeks and be able to ramp up the exercise, but until then...any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers!

One thing I would suggest if you are able to access one an elliptical. It burns about the same amount of calories as jogging and uses the arms and legs. It wont really build a lot of muscle but it is good for endurance training.

In high school I was a power lifter and my routine usually involved lifting every day as you would expect but also 1 hour on the elliptical right after when my muscles were still tired. It worked cardio and helped increase my muscle endurance as well as a lot of weight loss.

I don't know if this will work for you but it's working for me so far.

I stopped eating bread and some other unhealthy carbs, making sure I eat whole grains if I do eat any. I've also cut out sugar, I have a serious sugar addiction though. I've also been walking ALOT! I get two 15 minute breaks and a 30 minute lunch. I use them to either walk up and down the aisles at work or if it is nice out I walk around he building. If I am up to it, I also march in place at my desk.

I don't know anything about tailbone injuries though, so I am not sure if walking is ok for you.

I've lost 5 pounds in 2 and a half weeks. I am guessing by your height and size, you are about the same size as me. I'm 5'7" and 135 pounds with a small frame.
