5-6 per day

to be perfectly honest, i kno that the right thing to do would be to eat 5-6 meals per day, but im just feeling like eating that much wouldnt result in much weight loss. can someone help me change my thinkin into wat is right?

Why do you keep insisting that eating 5-6 meals a day will not help you lose weight? All because you are eating frequently does NOT mean you have to eat over 3000 calories or have 5-6 hamburgers a day. I currently eat 1500 calories a day and eat at least FIVE times a day. I choose the right foods to help me never feel hungry nor deprived. My energy has increased significantly.

And btw, my friend who is overweight just started 'dieting' two weeks ago. She's already lost 5 lbs just from cutting back on portions and eating EVERY THREE HOURS. Which means she's eating at least 5 times a day. Her energy has also increased.

Whatever you are doing now is obviously not working. If you know it's the right way then just do it. Give it a try instead of worrying about it. I know you can work around your school schedule, you just have to make a way. Good luck.

You just answered yourself. If you know it's the right thing then why question it?

5-6 meals is definitely the right thing! The key is to make them small. By eating more often (but the same TOTAL calorie amount as the traditional 3/day), your metabolism is kept revving at a good rate, and your energy is better. Just give it a try and I think you'll notice a difference. Remember: SMALL portions, more often

To be honest you just don't want to seem to do the work or take the time to do things right. I know you are a young girl so hopefully one day you will figure it all out. So many people here and elsewhere (including myself) have lost fat by eating 5-6 SMALL meals a day. It takes no time at all to look up on the net or here as to all the reasons why scientifically. If you are allowed 1500 calories a day then divide by 5 or 6, eat that amount every meal. Make sure each meal have one protien and one good carb (If you don't know what that is look it up.)
