4lbs overnight?

Hi all, im a little curious and I hope you guys can help me.

I weighed myself yesterday and the day before and I was 140lbs (hooray!) but this morning im suddenly 144lbs (boo!). I weigh myself on the same scales in the same place at the same time every morning before I eat, drink or have a shower.

I havnt got a lot too lose so 4lbs is quite a chunk to jump up. Im not too concerned because my clothes still feel looser then they used too and my waist and hip measurements havnt gone up.

Besides I know I had a bit of a wobbly diet weekend but I dont think I went over 1800cals on either day, not the 14000cals Id need to really put on 4lbs!
Im just curious of where my body could have found an extra 4lbs from, could it be because im coming up to my TOM?

Any thoughts?
 
hi! it happens to me too!!! It happens when my dinner is a little heavy or if i eat too late.
 
Hmm my dinner wasn't all that late... It was pretty heavy though, my boyfriend wanted pizza hut...

the hour you eat has little effect on your weight the next day - it's all about calories consumed in a day...

your weight can fluctuate over the course of the week - so it's not unusual - though pizza hut I'm sure had a lot to do with it - and it's not so much the calories in their pizzas, but the amount of sodium as well...

Go back to yur usual habits today and those pounds will come right off... it might just be water retention..
 
yea, alot of salt makes me really bloated....drink your water!!!

I personally think those scales from time to time are as emotional as we can be! lol Re weigh tommorrow :)
 
You should try to weigh yourself first thing in the morning, before you eat anything, without any clothes on. My DH tells me that weight fluctuates from week to week, so maybe you should try weighing yourself the same day every week.

Could be too much salt, remember our bodies weight changes between 2-5 lbs each day.

Could be body cycles also. :D
 
Thanks for the help guys, I never thought about the amount of salt in the pizza that might explain it if its causeing my body to hold onto water. I didnt completly pig out, like I said, I dont think I went over 1800 cals in the whole day. I have to say, I didnt even enjoy it as much as I used to enjoy pizza hut pizza.

frog0726: I do weigh myself in the morning before I eat and without any clothes, I weigh myself everyday, maybe thats not a good thing lol.

Stop weighing yourself for a while. Just go by the feel of your clothes. I mean I weigh myself every day, as a matter of fact the scale is right next to my fridge but when I lost a massive amount of weight(50lbs) I just stopped weighing myself. A pound here or there isn't that much to cheer about. Hell ive lost 10 lbs in one night just playing really hard during a hockey game. Its all water weight, worry about losing inches not pounds..
