410 lbs HELP PLEASE

:( hi im new here 1st time i am desperate and need your help, i can hardly breath when i exercise, i walk for 2-3 minutes and 3 minutes on a recomdant bike, im working up to 30 minutes or trying to, i look like im 15 months pregnant, i work like to get rid of my stomack, and firm up i love yoga but i got to big, on january 16 , i am getting lapband surgery here in ontario, and as i lose the weight i want to firm everything up....i am a 50 year old female and WANT MY LIFE BACK please help me :confused: thank u donnak
 
where abouts in ontario are you?? you need to start slow so u don't tax your heart i think it would be best to get your doc on board and see if he can reccomend someone to help you. yu need to be very careful and you need to eat properly.good luck.if you let us know what you eat now and what your doc says more input can be given.

What jenn said is pretty much on the mark. At this point, you need professional help because you don't want to just get into things and really put your health at risk. Start out by eating right. Find out how by researching this site/talking to a nutritionist or your doctor.
 
Lei don't knock ppl trying to get help for their typing skills, not nice. this is serious 410lbs is bad news. i hope this does not scare her off. obese ppl have enough ppl knocking them so i don't think we need to add to it. lighten buddy. we all like each other here right! :)
 
First off, good for you, for taking control of your situation. The hardest part is starting, and you have already done that. If you can only manage 3 minutes, then 3 minutes is great. Just do your best, and feel good that you have accomplished something positive in that time, and that you have done the right thing. As the weight comes off, and it will, your exercise time will increase, and everything in your life will get much easier and more enjoyable. Before you know it, you will be doing a lot of things you thought you wouldn't again.

Make exercise a habit, and everything else will fall into place.
 
Exercise is not the best solution right now. It would probably complicate things, hence, your difficulty breathing and increased blood pressure. These two are potentially life-threatening, but let's not forget the immense stress on the joints and skeletal system. Therefore, exercise at this point is pretty damn well dangerous. The best solution is seeking medical attention and advice to the problem. What is the problem? You put your body under dangerous stress when you exercise. You are unsure as to how to placate your obesity without feeling the need to put your body under unwanted stress. You should be seeing your physician, a nutritionist, and later or pending your doctor's request, a physical therapist. I said "and" not "or".

If you want help then there it is. I don't know how much nicer I could possibly be. If I wanted to be an ass then I would ignore this thread like the rest of the board. There are things that you need to change, donna, and I am glad you are willing to change them. But you can't go around ignoring the solution to the problem because someone was sarcastic to you.

I made that statement because I wanted to make a comment about your typing. It looked like a 14 year old's. You said you were 50, hence, the differentiation. Don't make the connection that I am making fun of you or trying to make you feel bad because of your condition, as was suggested earlier. As far as I or anyone else should or is concerned, typing has to connection to your condtition. If I offened you then I apologize for my comment. However, I would have preferred you to address me if you had a problem with it, rather than address someone else as if I were inconsoleable.

Despite all this, the advise I have given to you is the safest means possible. Ask many questions. If any of the doctors seem wrong or erroneous, then seek a second opinion. Educate yourself or ask your doctors to educate you. The more you understand about your condition and the results of it, the better.

most of the information that you have given me i have done that is why im getting
a lapband for my stomach, also i am sorry about my spelling there are some words ive
forgotten to spell.....lol ...i just want to exercise and get my life back, my doctor
says im in perfect health except for the major weight that im carrying, thank you again for your kindness and being honest with me...donnak
