Hi everyone I am new to the board. I joined MyFoodDiary.com 41 days ago when I got serious about losing weight. I am a 40 year old woman, 5'5" and started at 198. Am now down to 188 and haven't been moving downward at all the last couple weeks it seems. I have lost 2" from my waist, 1" from my hips and 1" from the thighs so I know it is coming off a bit.
I am sticking pretty close to a 1200 calorie diet most days, going up to 1400 on days I lift weights. I do 30 minutes of intense(for me) cardio 5 days a week. I am getting a bit discouraged but not to the point of wanting to give up. Just wishing I could get the scale to start moving again. When I was younger, weight would just fall right off of me it seems if I dropped my calories just a bit, now it is much much harder, when people say that it gets more difficult to lose weight as you get older, they are not kidding
Anyone want to give me some advice for tweaking things abit? Should I up my calories some days? Add in a second workout in the evenings? More protein? I have been counting calories but not paying too much attention to where they come from.
Thanks all you guys.
