Hi all,
Im still very new here. I am from UK and went abroad on 20/02/11 to have my gastric bypass i had the op on 22/02 roux en y antecolic laproscopically. the op went well and ive been losing roughly 7 lbs a week since. I am still on pureed foods and doing well. My problem is that my confidence in the surgery is waning, the surgeon was great and its obviously working as im losing weight, BUT i have a friend who had the op in UK 2 weeks previous to me and ive also heard from others whove had the op, they have trouble keeping things down with sickness feelings and aversions to high fat or high sugar foods. I dont have any of this!?!?!? i dont seem to have any aversions or dumping ( ive even tested myself now, silly i know but i just had to).
I have no real measurements from the surgery and ive now requested these. I know they found a hiatus hernia.
Please please can anyone put my mind at rest or is this a real problem. I have emailed them with my worries/concerns. But theres not better people to ask than those who've had the experience.
many many thanks
