3 chairpush-ups and shoulder exercises

Hey guys, I was wondering how many 3 chair push-ups sets/reps I should do to aid in building mass in my chest? Also, what are some good ways to build mass in my shoulders? My weight is about 140 in case it helps. Thanks in advance.

Oh, in regard to the push-ups I don't have a bench yet so I can't do bench presses but I've been laying back on two milkcrates and doing butterflies with dumbells.

Okay so a lot wrong here and I am just seeing an injury just waiting to happen.

What are you current stats and current diet. You have to eat to build muscle, so what are you eating.

As far as your makeshift routine there are also much better ways to work without equipment. List what you have available to you.

My diet is pretty clean I eat mostly tuna, chicken, lean cuisines (two at a time) gallon of water a day, a multi vitamin and a protein bar after workouts.
My equipment is a set of dumbells with up to 50 lbs. each and a curl bar. Also I eat a can of spinach with every meal. And i eat a lot of fruits.

Just cause you are eating clean doesn't mean you are eating enough.

What are you current stats and current diet. in detail. If you want help you are going to have to type a little.

and I thought Ii was overbearing.

and iimo , you don't evenknow what you're talking about!

I know that won't hellp me here but god be my witness.. you sh*t me to tears.

( p.s. I will march my sellf to the sin bin. thank you.)

For breakfast I normally eat 3-4 person serving of oatmeal with a banana and an apple with about 14oz. of milk and a big glass of orange juice. For lunch I eat a big can of tuna(not the normal can) on wheat with a can of spinach and a glass of milk and dinner is usually two good size chicken breasts and various green veggies or two lean cuisines with a glass of milk.Plus a protein bar after workouts.I try to eat about 2500-3000 calories daily.

The Three chair pushup (or elevated pushup) is great for the pecs and such.
If you want shoulder work try a HSPU or (HandStandPushUp) likely, at first, you will only be able to complete 3 to 5 at the most.

READ how do correctly do a HSPU on the web before attempting - correct form is NEEDED for SAFETY

There are many other improvisational exercises but in all honesty just get yourself a pair of dumbbells and 50 pounds of weight to start out with (25 on each dumbbell)

Then start with exercises like ( all done with the dumbells)

Lunges
Shoulder Press
Laterals
Triceps Extensions
Dumbbell curls
Squats
Bent over rows

Then if you want add in your elevated push ups and Chin ups

If you do not know how to do any of th exercises i listed simply do a google search example "Dumbbell shoulder press" or
"Dumbbell shoulder press + Instructions"

I do 3 chair push-ups every time before i do my upper body workout. I do 2 sets of 10 resp as a warm up before i go bench press and do flies and such.

Spidey, leip's response was completely valid. To get big, you need to eat big...but you also need to lift big. After a while, bodyweight exercises aren't going to do anything for you, I don't care how many variations you do (depending on how big you want to get).

Deltoids are crazy muscles, that can be best stimulated with optimal weight exercises...so I advise you to actually start lifting.
