Hey all---I'm ending my 3-month bulk next Sunday, and want to start a 6-8 week cut phase on the Monday after. However, my last cut cycle was also my first--I started late August and I was new to the game of nutrition/lifting/cardio and overall healthy lifestyle. I got down to 11% BF and 165 lbs. (I'm 6'2''), and decided to put on some meat.
My stats now are 6'2'', 176 lbs (+12 lbs gain), probably around 15-16 bf%. I put on some size, and I feel great!
SO my question is---I want to make this cut cycle work right. Last time, I lost so much weight so quickly and burned up muscle like it was my job.
Ideas for cut:
--30-40 min. cardio, 4-5/week, fasted in the morn.
--Cardio in the morning, lift in the late afternoon (Im a full-time student), 5x5 schemes
--For eating: should I halve carbs at all of my meals? I've heard this is a good way to cut carb. consumption by 1/2 evenly
--Add 50g protein to my diet---2 scoops of whey pre- and post-workout.
I just want to get back down to 10-11% for Mid-march.
Any suggestions?
