:(

Look I know this may sound annoying and possibly stupid but here goes. I went in for surgery to get a cyst removed from my mid back area and then I had to take I week off of strength training and ****. I still went to kenpo and stuff. After surgery I had to take another week off in order for the stitches to heal. Then I went back to my follow up apointment and they said i need to see them a week from this thursday on the 12th of october. I havent been traing at all since then. It has been almost a whole ****ing month since i stopped weight training Use it or lose it keeps going through my head. I guess I can at least go out for an 1 hour walk everyday still just to keep me active and so i dont turn all slothful and ****.

I wouldn't mess around with doctor's orders. Studies have shown that it takes about 3 weeks of inactivity for significant muscle loss to occur, and you've only been out for a little while longer than that. You can always get back to where you were when you're cleared to weight train again, but if you go at it too soon, you could end up putting yourself out of commission for a MUCH longer time. Until then, just enjoy the easy life.

thx for the advice guys i went for a walk instead tonight ill have to do that often so i can still stay focussed and besdides walking calms me down

Like Mreik said, keep what you eat perfect and you won't see anything significant. Good idea with the walks, too.

BTW, what part of Boston are you from?

Don't worry about it mate, these things happen, better that you're out for a month with good reason than you're just being lazy and given up.

Besides you can still eat healthy, and do some exercise. You mentioned walking, thats good, but I imagine there's other stuff you could do too. Hand Grips, to strenghten the forearms?

Ryo, I know your pain. Due to a med condition I haven't lifted since July, and have an operation this coming Thursday to remove cysyts and other crap from behing my ears and on my neck. Two more weeks, and I can back at it all again hell for leather.

A reliable source alledges that I have been a bitch to live with

Yep, here in West Roxbury.

Hope you get better, and don't try to lift too early, better be healthy to lift then early and hurt yourself.
