245 lb (fat) want to turn into Muscle for American Football

Hi,

I am looking for some help to turn my 245 lb of flab into Muscle. The reason for this is I want to start playing American Football.

I am 6ft3 and currently weigh approx 17.5 Stone (245 lb). If only those figures counted and not my actual body shape :)

Anyone have any idea what kind of Cardio I need to do and for how long and also what sort of weights to start with and work up to?
