24-Year-Old Male needing to lose weight

Hey all,

I'm a 24-Year-Old male, I am a little overweight and I'm looking to change my life around. In the coming years, I plan on becoming a State Trooper and well being a cop requires being in good physical shape. If anyone could give me some pointers on what exercise I should be doing daily and what I should be eating on a daily basis. Anything helps! To the reason why I'm overweight is caused when I was a kid I've gotten stuck into computers, whereas now I create software and websites for people (freelance work) and I just don't feel up to it to do exercise.

The State Police I'm wanting to join minimum requirements are as follows:

Thanks all!

If you're wanting to pass those tests specifically then those are the things you want to work on. Running, sit ups, push ups, you can do variations of each one like starting out as comfortable as you can then increasing the intensity, so you can yield better numbers each week you workout. Good luck!

Losing weight is a difficult task but not impossible if you really want to lose weight then do regular exercise, I suggest you follow a healthy diet, running, push-ups and sometimes gyming too.

needing to lose weight you must follow:

  1. Eat out less.
  2. Add whole foods, protein, fiber, and “good” fat to your diet, especially in the morning.
  3. Strength train, as part of a regular exercise routine.
  4. Don't skip meals.
  5. 5. Make sure that you get enough sleep.
