22 and here to kick butt!

AHello all!

Call me Sage. :) I'm 22 years old, 5'6", and weigh around 135 lbs. In the past few months my weight has fluctuated between 150 and 130lbs. My pant sizes have always fluctuated between 7-11 juniors. I started my workout routine almost a week ago and I was able to buy my first pair of 5/6 jeans since I was in high school! My weight hasn't really changed but I'm feeling some fat loss and muscle build already!

I'm way more excited about it than I should be, but it's just I haven't felt bikini ready in ever and that's what I want. I want to feel beautiful and appreciate myself, I need self esteem and working towards my goals seems to be helping a lot. I'm working towards fitness, and I want to live a long life with as few health issues as possible. So I'm starting NOW.

I try to play a decent amount of DDR every day. I've cut unhealthy foods from my diet. Carbs, veggies, proteins are my best friends. I do strength training and it isn't much but I'm building my way up. Just this morning I did 50+ ab exercises (a variety of different types of crunches and sit ups), 30+ jumping jacks and jumpropes, a small handful of presses and curls, and 20 girly pushups. Combine all that with a straight half hour of dance dance revolution on intermediate difficulty (I don't play baby songs either).

I believe I have a healthy balance of cardio and strength training. I'm building my way up and at a week into my routine I'm proud I've been ao diligent. I'm working towards taking the P90X challenge which I've heard and read is all about achieving maximum fitness. I've been taking a plain ol multivitamin daily and have a protein shake after strength training.

I will within the next few days take pix and take new ones monthly.
