Attempting to lose 53lbs to get me out of the "overweight" category and comfortably into the "healthy" category of bmi.

My apologies if the pictures aren't clear. I tried not to have that many pictures taken of me in the past as i was uncomfortable with my image. I've still got a ways to go, but i feel better about myself at least.

keep going mate! i know what u mean about having pictures taken i feel the same...i can deffo see a difference tho! good work!

Thanks for the support! It really does help to motivate me into pushing on a little harder. Got 40 days to try and lose at least another 9lbs before my graduation. I think I can do it, I just need to be a bit more motivated about exercise and remain strict with myself over my food.

Great job, you can do it! I would have a couple cheat days a week where I would relax on my eating (But not go too crazy) , willpower only lasts so long.

I do agree that a little cheat here and there is a good thing but i make sure to only do it in moderation. Update though; lost another lb today so only 8 to go until graduation goal is met :)

@endurance My regime is quite basic really. I limit myself to around 1300-1500 calories a day and I run 5k a few days a week because I am training for a charity run. No special tricks or anything just a calorie controlled diet with exercise.

Thanks for the support everybody :)

And @Artemisia, you're making me blush ;)

Update: Still 182lbs and going strong. Had a good few days in terms of my exercise and diet, but i didn't shed any pounds, but more importantly i didn't put any on!

I'm feeling more confident and a lot happier about myself now and i'm determined not to slip back into my old ways.

Finally made it down to 180lbs! Just another 5 to go before my graduation in 13 days. Its the first time i've seen a 12 at the start of my weight in about 4-5 years so I'm ridiculously happy right now!

Haven't posted here in nearly a year and in that time I've had a pretty rough time of it weight wise. I got down to 175lbs and was just 7lbs from my goal but i just plateaued there. Then i got into a relationship with my beautiful girlfriend and got comfortable. Between October and June i put on about 30lbs and just felt and looked like crap again. I'm starting to lose it again now though, i restarted at 205.4lbs and i'm down to 195.4 now, still shooting for about 164-168 but i'm hoping desperately i don't get stuck again. Its definitely harder this time around, with my girlfriend and her housemate eating the junk that i want so badly! Managing to avoid it so far and i hope it continues...

That's unfortunate that your girlfriend and housemate are eating junk around you when you're trying to lose weight. But good for you for losing weight in spite of that!
