20 year old fresh start

Hi all, i've planned to seriously lose those flabby weights out of me. I'm currently 19 years old, turning 20 this year end. I started gaining all this flabs and weight went i stepped into college years about 2 years ago and now in my final 3rd year. i've gained like 20kg.

Honestly, it wasn't nice being fat, thus i planned to lose weight at least a little for a start will do great as a birthday present for myself, or mebe a handsome present for my graduation. well, i'm currently at my highest weight, 60kg (i'm not at all proud of it, but rather disgusted and ashamed). I'm 5 feet 3.

Hope to meet some friends here who could share their experience or maybe together we may play this quest of weight loss! Nice meeting y'all :)

Hi Amelie! I'm just a year older than you, 20 and about to turn 21! :)

I have a similar problem to you, gaining weight when I started college---but each summer I'd lose weight, only to regain it that year! So now I need to start now to feel good about myself before the summer comes around...get a bikini body, hahaha!

What is your plan for weight loss?
I'm going with the good old fashioned, less calories in, more calories out, it's the only diet I trust!

I also just turned 20 this yr and really want to lose weight. I want to lose 10kg and have been trying to for several months.

I also want to do it the proper way with exercise and a heathy diet as my main goal is to live a happy, healthy lifestyle.
Today is my first day and so far its going ok. I would love to join in and help each other to achieve our goals.

I found some great quotes that i think will help with motivation :)

I'm feeling very good about my diet at the moment---I know the first week can be the hardest but it's also the easiest in a way, because you're not craving chocolate (yet!) and you can expect to lose quite a few pounds...hopefully this feeling carries on for longer!

How are you getting on?

Im glad your diet is going really well..... So is mine :)

Its only been 3 days lol, but im feeling really confident!!! Im not weighing myself every week though because i dont think its a good indicator of fat loss.
Exercise has been really enjoyable for me too which helps a lot! What exercises are you doing atm?
My cravings haven't kicked in yet either lol... but hopefully it will stay that way and by the time they do kick in we will have enough control to stop them!
One thing i have found that im doing is drinking a lot more water and also increasing my fruit and veg intake. Im starting to feel really good and healthy again. What changes have you both seen so far?

Good job! I've been running and going to the gym. I also walk about 5 miles a day in my colleg ejourney, a good way to work exercise into your daily activities! And, oh yes, whenever I'm out, I've been hitting the dancefloor instead of standing by the buffet table, haha!!

One week into my diet, but yikes the weekend was my birthday weekend, so I ate whatever I wanted within reason then, I don't mind though, I'll hopefully weigh in tomorrow and see how I got on!

I'm definitely feeling healthy, I was in bad habits before and wasn't feeling too good about myself...I feel great now, got lots of self esteem back!!!
