I saw the doctor yesterday for a check up on my surgery and he said no isometrics for another 3 weeks. He also told me that at my age (15) isometrics do not actually help me get stronger or bigger. He told me to do 3 sets of 5 reps with very light weights for strength and a little size. The catch is I have to have a 10 count on the way up and a 10 count on the way down. Apparently this is the way olympic athletes train now. Is he correct?
