2 month hiatus, and I'm back

Hello again, everyone! I think I stopped working out mid-late September, and just sort of became lazy once the cold weather hit. The last thing I wanted to do was jump in a cold pool in this weather. (They keep it set at 80-something degrees but that's not warm enough for me.) Once I stopped working out, I stopped paying attention to what I was eating. I went back to fast food again... every day. Sometimes twice a day. Surprisingly, I did not gain weight. In fact, I've LOST weight. Down to 108 pounds, and I'm sure you can guess why... My muscles have wasted away! I'm left with flab. It didn't take me long to whip into shape last time. 6 weeks and I was trim and on my way to being nicely toned.

So here I go again, counting calories, eating healthy. Cutting out fast food, drinking more water, no more pop. Just eating clean, and beginning my workout again. I actually wanted to start my workout yesterday but I've been under the weather, so I spent the day sleeping. I'm feeling much better today, so I should be able to get back in the gym this week!

Here's my plan.

Since the thought of jumping in the pool hasn't been too tempting, I've got to "warm up to the idea." I'll start with 30 min of weightlifting. Once I break a sweat, I'll be glad to jump in that pool! I plan on doing my swimming/aquatics for another 30-45 min, then warming in the spa afterwards to ease my joints. I've been having problems with arthritis in my lower back and hips. I plan to do this 2-3 times a week. If anyone remembers, I am on my feet at my job (nursing) 3 nights per week, so this counts as plenty of exercise, and I don't want to over-do it. On the nights that I'm not in the gym, I plan on doing my Pilates workout at home, just for flexibility and strengthening.

Hopefully in another 6 weeks, I should be back at "goal" and maybe this time, I won't fall off the wagon! Wish me luck. :D
