Hey, it's a bit late but while I was on I thought I'd post my first pictures. The pictures aren't great quality but I took about twenty on my slightly dodgy camera phone and these were the best and most appropriate.
I've already posted alot of this is the introduction fourm but I'll give you a quick summery of my situation anyway. 17 male, 6 foot 1 and 132-ish pounds(nine stone). As you can see I'm pretty out of shape at the minute. I used to do alot of cross-country running at school and a fair bit of football(soccer) but for various reasons over the past year I stopped them. I gained around ten pounds, looks like more since I stopped working out completly and lost alot of muscle. Because I was so skinny before I didn't really mind putting on weight at first and getting a bit of flab, now though I'm getting a bit too close to chubby and developing the start of a gut, which is pretty shameful considering I nearly had a six-pack last christmas. I thought now would be a good time to get in shape as I've already done a good bit of bulking up-albiet not that healthly. I've no disere to get *really* big but enough to genrally stop looking skinny and get some decent abs back.
I've only really posted torso pictures because I've already started working on my arms and they seem to be improving.Also my stomach, like most people I suppose, is were my weight gain seems to have gone. My main problem is I've never done even any semi-serious working out before and I'm not sure what to do next. Should I try and lose the flab around my stomach first or try to gain more weight while continung crunchs and other exercises? I've only started doing crunchs again in the last few weeks. Not much improvment yet obviously, though the weight sits better round my stomach.
I better expalin the pictures. Right to left: First one is a slightly tensed, second is sitting down, probably not that relvent but it shows (me at least) show flabby I've got. Third is just a standard picture of me standing relaxed.By the way, My waist measurment is 29 inches at the minute, thats about 2 inches more than when I had a very flat stomach last year. Don't get me wrong though. I don't want to lose weight, just get in shape and tone a bit. Any advice is greatly appricated. Thanks.
