18 year old female hoping to lose 33 lbs for high school graduation!

I am in high school and I am graduating in June 2011. I am 5' 6.5" tall and weigh 158.5 lbs right now. I just signed up for a gym and I'm excited to start working out. My goal is to lose 33 lbs and weigh around 125. Right now my BMI is 25.2. I'm not sure of my body fat percentage but I'm guessing it's around 30% - which is awful.

I'm hoping to flatten and shrink my stomach and butt. I also want my face to slim down! I'd love for my thighs to not rub together when I walk, too. There are pictures of me from this summer/fall that I've uploaded. These ones kind of show what my body looks like.

If anyone has any encouragement or advice please post a reply! I'm also a vegetarian (have been for over 2 years) so if you have any good vegetarian recipes, please share!

welcome to the forum!

The simplest start is a food diary. By recording everything you eat for a week, you can look back and see what changes need to happen. Just be honest with it, you need to record it all including snacks. We have a great section you can write in here.

Also, check out the forum stickies as they contain great advice.
