16year old, looking to lose some weight quickly

Hey,
Well firstly this is pretty much my first time on these forums. Im 16years old, and 6"0 tall. I weigh 167lbs and have a body fat percentage of about 15%. I can bench 175lbs, and am strong but not remotely ripped. I want to lose some fat so I can be more defined. Whatever I try to do I never see results.

I have started going on a run everyday after college as as far as I know it is the best way to burn fat, is it? Am I overweight for my age and height?

Should I do weights more than cardio? Basically, can anyone just help me out.
Cheers.

What all have you been trying? The thing you've got to remember is that there's no magic workout that drops every bit of fat off in your body and gives you a six-pack overnight. Every workout takes time to see results. As another member of the forums said one time, "You didn't gain the weight overnight, so what makes you think you can lose it that way?"

Running is a great way to burn fat. I don't know if it's the "best" way, but cardio work will do the job. However, you'll need to take a good look at your diet and see what else you can do to speed up the process. If you're serious about losing weight and getting in shape, you'll have to eat right. "Garbage in, garbage out", as my old coach used to say. Cut the junk food, eat good, exercise, and you'll start seeing the results. (Granted it might take 6 weeks to see ANY difference, but you WILL see results eventually)

I don't know if you're exactly overweight, but judging by your body fat, you're definitely not in GREAT shape. For myself, I plan to be around 6-7% body fat at your height.

Should I do weights more than cardio?

For losing the weight, I would do cardio before weights. And honestly, if it were me, I would do cardio and hi intensity type stuff until I was satisfied with my body fat % but that's just me.

Anyways, hope I could be of some help. I'm not a pro when it comes to this stuff but I'll throw in my 2 cents. I'm sure a lot of other people can give you better advice but this will get you started. :beerchug:
