15 Years Old - Want to Get in Shape with the new year!

Hello
So, as with many others... one of my resolutions is to lose weight, get into shape, and become fitter in general. I'm 15 years old, about 5'7-5'8, and I weigh ~180 pounds. I'm not TOO out of shape but there's definitely a lot of weight I can lose in various areas of my body.
I actually asked for a treadmill for Christmas which I plan on using to lose weight...but anyways;
My questions are:
What exercises can I do to lose weight quickly? (OTHER THAN SCAM FAD/HORMONE DIETS)
-How long/often should I do these exercises?
-Will these exercises help build muscle?
What should I cut out of my diet?
What should I add to my diet?

Thanks so much in advance for all of your help. I'm really anxious to start working out and getting into shape.

Have you been doing any type of training to this point? What does your diet look like and are you able to make changes to it?

I haven't done any 'significant' training. I've done about 10-20 push-ups and sit-ups per day and sometimes I'll run up and down my stairs 10ish times, but besides that nothing much at all.

My diet actually fluctuates a lot, and yes I am able to make changes to it. Not super significant ones most likely, but changes. I eat vegetables with every meal and I normally skip breakfast on weekdays but eat breakfast on weekends or days that I have off. Breakfast is typically cereal with water or chocolate milk. Lunch varies a lot as well, some days I'll eat a wrap but other days I'll eat something like tacos or a few chicken nuggets from the cafeteria (I'm stopping with the chicken nuggets once school starts again, and sticking to sandwiches/wraps every day) but I usually have a healthy serving of grapes and/or blueberries with lunch every day. Dinner depends as well. Sometimes I'll eat pasta, sometimes chicken, sometimes sushi, it changes every night. But I typically eat a salad with ranch for dinner as well.

If you want to get serious about losing weight than cut out all processed meats from you diet. Than get rid of any junk food like candy, or soda, and pastries and stuff. After that all you got to do is eat lean meats eat a lot of vegetables and just use your common sense with your diet.

After that I would definitively recommend HIIT (High intensity interval training) wich is good for anyone losing fat. It's good because it helps you dense your bones, get stronger and burn a lot of fat all at the same time. Ater all that it only takes like 5-20 minutes to complete a HIIT workout compared to an hour of jogging.

If you want to build muscle however I would say do circuits of body weight exercises because it sounds like that's what your used to. Also stop doing sit ups switch to planks in stead.

Also if your looking to build muscle and lose a little bit of fat at the same time, I would recommend intermittent fasting. I have tried it and it works very very well. Unlike traditional bulking methods fasting will not make you gain fat while building muscle. It'l also increase your growth hormone and focus at the same time.

Don't try intermittent fasting unless you know it's safe for you and do research on all the suggestions first.

In today's hypercritical world, it seems that nobody is comfortable with his or her weight. If you are committed enough then it is not impossible to achieve.

You need to focus mainly on your lifestyle and your daily workout. You should try some other exercise behind treadmill in order to avoid further complication in future.

Developing a Healthy Lifestyle
Losing weight isn’t fun. Many of us try unsuccessfully to diet our way to a healthy weight. But it is possible to lose weight at a healthy pace and keep it off. It often takes more than one attempt, so don’t get discouraged if you don't lose weight the first time you try. Every body is different, and each body responds uniquely to different foods. If you are serious about losing weight, you can find a health regime that works for you.

Exercise
One way to control your calories is to move around more by adding both structured exercise and general activity throughout the day. You need to spend at least an hour of physical activity in a day. Activities can include things like:

• Riding a bike
• Skateboarding or inline skating
• Swimming
• Dancing
• Walking or running
• Sports
• Shooting hoops

I recommend to chose such activities which you like most. The main focus should be burning some calorie on each day.

Hello

What exercises can I do to lose weight quickly? (OTHER THAN SCAM FAD/HORMONE DIETS)

I think there is no exercise that can lose weight quickly, shall we say, we can lose weight accordingly as the time passes by because we do exercise. We should not make haste regarding in losing weight, being healthy should still be our priority.

Cycling is one good exercise, good for losing weight and at the same time improves our legs muscle and our balancing.
