Hi there...
There is a lot of different opinions in relation to young people and weights training. Honestly, your coaches cannot expect you to get too much stronger, it's just the age you're age. As you get older, your body will naturally fill out and become a lot a stronger. I'm not saying you cannot work on getting stronger, but it will naturally come as you get older.
Things to work on would be to get soem core strength by holding planks and crunches etc, also get on the bench and start strengthing your chest, also do some squats and deadlifts to strengthen your legs and so on.

Yeah i know you've heard that from every adult.
but, I'm sixteen and i know how you feel so.

If your looking to gain as much strength/size in as short amount of time.
Free weights.
No machines, No at home junk.
Your Freindly neighbor hood gym.
You may need to take a class on weightlifting for them to allow you in the gym without and adult but its always worth a shot.

And i played football,
the main areas to concentrate on is:

1. The most important.
Neck and Back muscles.

2. the ability the extend your legs powerfuly and quickly.
this will make you faster and "hit" harder.

3. ability to extend your arms forward.
this will make your "hit" have a "bite" to it.

4. Stamina
if you can destroy everyone for one quarter and your gased,
then your not going to be a good player.

The main lifts to concentrate on.

Squat
Benchpress
Close-grip Benchpress
Cleans
deadlifts

I have a friend who plays for Cardiff Blues youth and Wales U16

The club gave him a program and an eating regime, i reccomend getting into contact with a decent size club, send in a letter or email saying what you want to do etc and im sure they will be able to help you!
