14 year old six pack questions

Hello

Im a 14 year old male who would really like a six pack. Im about 5"9 and 120 pounds. A lot of my friends have six packs and Im starting to feel the pressure to get one. I have been doing 30rep crunches for the past week about 3 times a day adn when Im up half way for a sit up I can see a four pack forming.

I started eating much more healthly and I eat more now aswell.

What is the best and fastest way to get my six pack?

Also, what do people mean when they say cardio?

Thank you for your time,

trooper92:)

EDIT:Sorry never noticed this is womans health:eek:

hey
cardio - short for caridovascular, refers to the heart. so basically any form of training or work out which really intensifies and speeds up ur heart rate. like running, sprinting, rope jumping...u know what i mean? something thats gonna make ur heart start beating very fast and ur gonna be out of breath. lol. i know my way of describing this was funny. hopefully u get what i mean.
about ur 6 pack, well ur a guy so dont worry, if u continue with ur crunches ur gonna get it very soon, coz its so easy for men to make muscles compared to women. lucky you... and also give it time. coz ur still young...in a year or two ur muscles r gonna develop on their own anyway..and become bigger and stronger. just eat healthy..dont eat fattening things. STAY AWAY from mayonaise.. mayonaise is the enemy dude. it makes u put on so much weight. hmm what else. just stay away from junk food and fried oily things. eat carbs and some protein every meal, drink lots of water and do crunches like 3 times a day..it will work ;)

female forums are goos, less bitchiness than male dominated ones and they don't think they no everything (i'm male)...anyway there's no pressure to get one...i've only just started to get one the last 6 mths and i'm 28! try weighted ab variations that will actually make the muscle bigger not give it endurance...try 2 - 4 sets of 8 - 12 reps...do 1 exercise for lower abs (hanging leg raise variation with wt if u can but there tuff), obliques (twisting variation but no wt) and finish with weighted upper ab variation (cable crunch etc)...it's important to feel the different area of the abs doing the work as the upper abs and hip flexors will try and take over as they are far stronger

im about 15 years old and im trying to get a six pack.

im 15 and trying to get six pack abs. im already muscular and weigh about 210 pounds and im not really fat. but all of my muscle is on the inside and you cant really see my abs. i work out every day about 1nce per day but in that workout, i push my self to the limit. i do bench presses push ups and i do do situps on my ab machine thingy. but when i do my situps i do about 130 at a time. ill stop when im about to puke lol. but for some reason i keep gaining a lot of weight but my muscles never stick out and i can feel my abs inside. i made a mistake one and used some creatine which i shouldnt of bc its not healthy for my developing body and i think it made me fatterr. now i have stretch marks on my stomach even though i always work out. im trying to get a six pack too woo the ladies lol. please any advice.

You are most likely gaining fat, since you say that your stomach is becoming bigger (even getting stretch marks).
What do you mean by muscle on the inside? If your skeletal muscle grows, it will show on the outside..

How much weight do you gain per week?

Creatine won't make you fat, so you can't blame that. prettu much the only thing that can make you gain weight (and thus fat) is eating in a calorie surplus. If you train and eat in a surplus, some of that weight gain will be muscle, however, your body can only produce so much muscle in a day/week/month, so if you eat too big a surplus, you will gain a lot of fat.

You should really work on your routine, because it doesn't sound too good. Like doing over 100 situps in one go won't cause much growth because it would be more like cardio training than strength/size training. You need to lower your reps, so either find another exercise, add weight, or do the situps harder. A lot of people think they can do many situps, but they really just use bad form.

Any questions? post here :)

Sorry to break it to you but you probably just have too much fat round your waist. I know you say you're not fat but stretch mark don't come from creatine, they come from being over stretched.

Also, drop the ab 'thingy', it's a load of ****, if you're doing that many reps you're not going to be building muscle, just building endurance. Try weighted sit ups or leg raises to increase difficulty until you're only managing around 10 reps per set. 130 reps is dumb, you wouldn't do 130 bench press reps would you? Your abs are no different

Are you planning on walking around shirtless all the time to woo the ladies? Thats wut i do. one time i walked into this library because and there was this hot girl and she said its good that you have a six pack cuz otherwise i wouldnt be wooed. but i was shirtless so i got arrested for indescenent esposure.

thanx

ok thanx now im starting to eat like salads and soups only tryin to eat no more than 100 calories per meal. i was also wondering why young ppl arent supposed to take creatine cuz i do have cell tech and was wondering if it would help the six pack show. lately one of my retarted friends said creatine makes u fat and all of my friends who have six packs take creatine and im older than most of them. ever since ive been using nothin on my workouts. i was also wondering the best exercises for six or even if my dreams come true someday an eight pack. i do about 50 ab crunches 3 times a day and after that i do some ab workout on a machine that works ur sides. i walk/jog about 2 miles every other day and do 30 100 pound bench presses every other day too. should i maybe consider a bowflex or anything cuz i can work out my lower abs and sides but how my upper abs. thanx

I thought you just walked around with your big wooden caber in your hands?

Oh. I do that now. But I was referring to when I was teenager and the teeny boppers put more emphasis on having abs than actually having muscle. You could weight a buck 10 at 6 foot tall and as long as you had abs, they thought you were hot. Funny how things change as women mature.

i had a bunch of errors the last time i typed i eat a lot of protein and carbohydrates and all kinds of food that helps burning fat. ok but i was also wondering since i dont know a lot about weight lifting why is creatine illegal for ppl under 18 my friends take it and theyre barely 14 and theyre buff with six and sometimes eight packs. i havnt really tried much yet but was wondering if it would help with fat loss and muscle build. thanx guys

Creatine's not illegal. It's just not typically recommended for the low teen years. I have a feeling what you consider buff and what most of us on here consider buff are two different things.

Having your abs showing or being "ripped" is the consequence and result of diet.

I have an off-topic question. Why are there so many teenagers that post don't capatalize their letters, don't use apostrophes, rarely use ending punctuation, and just run their entire post into page long paragraphs?

It really is distracting to read posts set up like this.

Maybe it's because they're all used to using applications like Word that auto-correct punctuation and grammer?
Or maybe it's just the age of instant messaging that favours speed over accuracy.

Anything under the age of 18 is illeagal.

You know, I will get emails from my students in leet and text speak on occasion. I tell them to email me back when they can communicate with intelligence.
