OK I AM STARTING THIS TO KEEP ME AND KORRIE ON TRACK AND ACCOUNTABLE TO EACH OTHER!! EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO JOIN IN AND POST BUT I AM MAKING SURE HER AND I FOLLOW THIS THROUGH TO THE END! WE WILL REACH OUR GOALS BY THE END OF THIS YEAR!! NO MORE BREAKS AND NO MORE EXCUSES!

Ok, heres my #'s so far....

breakfast
2 pc toast....160
water

lunch
ham salad and 1/4 cup mac salad (its all we had, yes i'm getting groceries today) ......450?? (high est)
water

dinner
bbq chicken breast...200
peas...50
water

total....860

so I know my total is a little low, I can still have a snack (probably veggies). BUT i have to confess, I did have my hand in the kids easter basket a bit today. Nothing bad, but probably enough to actually give me a 1200 cal total. Fortunatly, i think the kids are out of everything "good" lol, so that'll help me tommorrow!

Your Doing Great And I Am Going Shopping Afterwhile As Well I Think I Will Get A Bunch Of Smart Ones And Lean Cuiisines And Them Little 100 Cal Snacks And Veges Like Celery And Stuff For Snacks! I Feel Great About This It Seems Easier Than My Points!
 
Ok We Will Officially Weigh In On Friday's! But We Have To Each Have A Pair Of Shorts Pants Or Jeans We Want To Fit In! I Have My Size 16 Shorts I Am Working On! Then I Have A Pair Of 14! I Think It Is Better Than Worrying About Scales Or Numbers! I Have A New Leslie Sansone Walk Away The Pounds Dvd Called Walk And Kick! Its 30 Minute Interval Excercising That Will Boost Calorie Burn! So I Plan On Doing It Everyday And See What It Does! I Have Slacked On The Biggest Loser Dvd But I Will Try To Work It Back In As Well! My Goal Is At Least 64 Oz Of Water A Day!

Count me in on this one--I need someone to kick my butt and hold me accountable!

I'm actually doing a 1000 calorie diet because I've had less luck with 1200 in the past. This is my 4th day into it. I'm at 560 calories as of 3pm. :)

These are my not-so-secret weapons, otherwise I'd be into my 5th pizza by now:
*mini kosher dill pickles--great for snacks, about 2 calories each.
*frozen fat-free cool whip--15 cals per serving, good ice cream subsitute and great between lowfat chocolate graham crackers.
*instant oatmeal or easy mac--not the most nutritious, but under 200 cals per serving and perfect if you have a "comfort food" craving and need something warm and creamy.
 
well candice i hope it works for ya, but i've read many times never to go under 1200 cals.

Do what you think is best though
 
Ok I Need To Eat I Think I Havent Had But 160 Cals And 32 Oz Water So Far! Korrie Is Right Candace Welcome To Our Diet But You Need To Mix It Up If Your Gonna Go Lower To Keep Your Body From Holdng On To It Thinking Its Starving! I Think I Will Do Back And Forth But Not Go Over 1500 A Day No Actually 1400 And I Am Going To Try Not To Eat After 6 Pm Anymore Just Drink Water!

snack ideas...hum....those 100 cal packs are nice. LOTS of veggies! Fruit is good for you but kinda high in cals.

I love to have a piece of s.f. gum and a big glass of water, that helps.

Bad Thing Is I Blew My 6pm Goal I Dont Have Nowhere Near My 1200 Cals Yet And Dinner Will Be Late But I Have Excercised Good So I Will Do Situps With My Weights And A Few Other Excercises Before I Go To Bed! Ok Korrie How Many Situps We Shooting For Afterwhile?

Salads
Apple Parfait Fruit Cups These Are So Good And They Have Pineapple And Peaches To In This Give It A Try Helps With The Sweet Tooth
100 Cal Pks All The Kinds They Have
Lc, Sw, Healthy Choice Theses Are Life Savers Takes All The Guest Workout Of Counting Calories
And If I Know I Am Going To Be Eating Out For Lunch Or Dinner I Bought Some Little Cups With Lids On Them And I Bring My Own Dressing To Put On A Salad As U All Know Its Mainly The Dressing That Has All The Calories And Fat
And Another Hint To Help U Try And Keep Your Fat Grams Under 30grams
Because You Can Keep Cal Down But Have Way To Much Fat In Your Diet

I Had Been Doing The 1200 Calorie Diet Since Oct Of Last Year And It Has Worked For Me Real Well ,
And Something Else Buy A Good Measureing Cup And If You Can A Scale To Weigh Your Food Helps A Lot To Keep Your Portions Right For The Food You Are Not Quite Sure Of, And The Lc And Sm Do Help You Learn Portion Sizing

And Tina You Didnt Tell Me U Was Slacking On The Bl Dvd Thats A No !no !

hey there girls =) I'm shooting for 1350 a day, so I'd be glad to check in here and kick your butt once and a while =)

rnw - make sure that you are spreading your calories out throughout the day - otherwise if you load up (it looks like you have 750 or so cals left for dinner) at the end of the day it doesn't
help increase your metabolism earlier... better to eat 5 smaller meals spaced out =) (and a meal can consist of a piece of fruit, or some crackers, or an english muffin)

candace - I agree with newbride about not going under 1000 - perhaps if the 1200 wasn't working for you that was a "starvation" lvl for you too? I have no idea about your physiology and how much exercise you get in, but I would definately ask a doctor before I did less than 1200 cals/day.

I have done good myself today... I usually keep track of cals in my diary, so i'll just copy it =)

breakfast @ 7a:

lunch @ 1p:
bun (110)
portobello mushroom w/ tomatoes and feta (135)
yogurt (100)

snack @ 5p:
raisin bran mini-muffin (150)

dinner @ 7p:
grilled chicken (120)
couscous (180)
edamame (100)
grapes (100)

study snacks:

total cals: 1245
h2o: 32
exercise: 27 min run (180 steps running, 120 steps walking)


I'm going to be up half the night studying, so i'm sure my total will go up b/c of snacks/coffee - but i've done good so far!

OH! and a great alternative to salad dressing is a squirt of lemon or lime juice - or else some vinegar - it adds some tartness (which I love)
