Odd that trans-fat is only #5, and they list white sugar, but not high fructose corn syrup or other forms of added sugars.

Damn, man. I guess gum can be considered a cancer stick just like a cigarette. It was mentioned in so many of those articals. I'm glad i don't eat to much of that other crap. I'm cutting down on gum though. That's for sure

At least I agree with most of this.

I just read an article in Readers' Digest that said you don't need more than 45-75 grams of protein per day and they recommended as one of the good sources of protein nitrite loaded deli turkey LOL. They also recommended low fat ice cream bars as healthy treats.

As health articles go, it seemed pretty good. Not too much BS like there is in a lot of articles, like the one the Gooch referred to. But I did think it was sort of dumb that the article highlighted meat and dairy as a source of trans fat, given that meat and dairy fat is not only quite low in trans fat as compared to a lot of bakery products and fried foods, but it's not even the same, given that natural trans fat in animal fat is conjugated while hydrogenated oil trans fat is not and is considered to be much more unhealthy than conjugated trans fat. If there's a reason to avoid fatty red meat and dairy, it's because of the large amount of saturated fat, not the small amount of trans fat.

This article made me happy I shop at Trader Joe's, where it's easier to avoid a lot of this garbage.
