Hi all. New guy here so if I make any faux pax's, please forgive me.

I'm 31, male, just under 6'0" and weigh in at around 105kg (231lbs). I'm fairly active in that I do rugby training once a week and train bjj twice a week (also go for 2-3 mile runs once/twice a week). My weight is predominantly around my belly and I'm desperate to shift this. I've tried shake diets but they just don't seem to work. I also work a desk job in a hotel.

So I'm going to try the following, I've not really got a good understanding on food and nutrition, but I'm working on the principle of lesser calories + lesser carbs = less weight.

Breakfast (around 10am) - piece of fruit with yoghurt.
Snack around 12 - banana or some mixed nuts (just a small handful)
Lunch (around 2pm) - A cheese, salad roll
Snack (around 4pm) - banana or some mixed nuts (just a small handful)
Dinner (around 7.30pm) - meat and veg (generalising and definitely no carbs as I hear thats not good in the evening)

This sounds like something I could realistically keep going. Am I ticking the right boxes? Should I swap anything out or change things up?

Any tips or guidance would be gratefully received.
