10 Months Later

Hey guys,

I used to be an active member here for the first couple months of me trying to shed some fat. However, even though I kept working out and training with weights, I ended up not pouring any time into staying active on the site, and for that I apologize. Here I am though, after 10 months, I still have about 15-20 pounds left to lose.

If I didn't live in insanely freezing New England, I probably wouldn't be such a sunless, pasty white dude right now; so for that I apologize as well.

Wow! What a difference! I live in New England, too, and I'm a lot paler than you, so don't worry. I have such a hard time staying on track in this cold, dark weather. Congratulations on all your success, and good luck meeting your final goal!

Thank you

Haha, yeah we hardly see any sun during these winter months!

It's not as big a difference as some of the other astounding accomplishments on this board, but for sure it's been consistent work just like the rest of them!

Thank you for the kind words!

There is definately a difference from sunless, pasty, white dude #1 and sunless, pasty, white dude #2 :p

Well done

YOu've done amazingly well. I think I"m 5'6 also. What are the weights attached to those pics? Also, what did you DO to get the weight down?

Thanks!

The weights on the pictures are my before weight, 208 pounds, and my current weight of 173 pounds.

One of the keys, besides a healthy diet, was cardio! I can tell you what I do for cardio, but that might not necessarily work for you. I do, however, make good use of both an elliptical and treadmill every time I work out. I also have worked myself into a sturdy weight-training routine that I do between using the cardio machines.

I cut out crappy foods like soda, beer, twinkies, and all that junk (I haven't cut them out all together, but if I do eat it...I no longer over-indulge). I drink plenty of water throughout the day, have 1 or 2 protein shakes, and eat lots of yoghurt, hard boiled eggs, granola bars, and cold-cut sandwiches with turkey or chicken meat.

That's just a short summary, if I went into all details i'd be writing a book here, haha. And another key...never give up!
