Hi guys,
Id like to start off by giving you guys a little background information on myself. Im a 23 year old male from the north east of England. I am 5 foot 10 and weigh 10.6 Stone. All through my life i have been skinny with very little muscle. Recently (the reason i am unsure) i have started putting weight on around my stomach. This is not exactly a bad thing for me as it has made my body "Bulk out" a little bit so i do not look as skinny. My problem is that i now have a small amount of fat around my stomach and the area on my sides
I have just started working out in my home after buying myself some Cast Iron weights. Me and a couple of friends work out every Monday Wednesday and Friday. So far all we do is Weight workout. I do not do any Cardio as of yet. Next week i am starting to do 20 minutes of Cardio 2 times a week (the reason im only doing two times a week is because i have a job that takes up a lot of my time).
The reason i have joined this forum is basically to get some advice on the best way to lose the weight around my stomach area while still working on gaining muscle. Because of my Weight workout i am eating lots of protein and carbohydrates. Is there anything in particular i should be aware of when trying to lose weight and gain muscle at the same time?
Any advice would be very helpful as i am very new to working out.
