Sport Alcohol and low carb diets

I know alcohol is in no way good for the body, but if i chose to drink on a low carb diet, what would be some better choices? I was thinking vodka and crystal light, or gin and diet tonic, or rum and diet coke?

Well if you are goingfor lowest on carbs, choose vodka with sparkling water. That way you also stay clear of hangovers;)
The problem is though that the body puts getting rid of the alcohol in first place. Of course this is a good thing, but that means that burning carbs has a lower priority. So before all the alcohol is completely gone from your body, your body won't burn all the carbs and other nutritions you eat. And normally it takes a couple of days for the body to get rid of the alcohol.
