im having problems with my push up.

Again, im not sure if this is the correct form to do it, since theres 1000+ people on the internet and they all have diferent types of "correct push up forms/techniques" so im a bit confused on this one,

First thing i do is:

1. put my hands right below my shoulders just a bit outer than my shoulders width-apart.
2.put my back on a full line parallel to the ground
3.put my feet slightly apart from eachother(although i don't think it matters, but then again im just a starter so i don't know.
4.i tighten my ab's and chest.
5.my elbows are about 45 degrees away from my body.
6. i slowly lower my body untill i almost touch the ground and my elbows are about 90 degrees.
7. then i go up and squeeze as much as posible on the top.
and repeat.

heres another problem:

i fell the contraction on my arms, chest and triceps. But sometimes i feel the whole contraction in my right pec, but in my left pec i feel the contraction on half of the muscle. and the sometimes i feel the whole contraction on my arms, chest and triceps, but when i finish the push up sets(when i can't do any more in the correct form) i only feel sore on my right pec... hmm what am i doing wrong? is it the form or the execution of the push up? i also would like to add that my right side is stronger than my left side. so im still kind of weak in my left side compared to my right side. will apreciate ANY advice or tips on what should i change in my push up technique/form. thanks for your time.

at #2 i meant to say body instead of back

If you go down to the point that your upper arms are at least parallel to the ground and you go up to the point that your arms lock strainght, you are doing a pushup correctly. You are making it more complicated than it is. Just do several sets a day and you'll be great at them in no time.

your upper body shouldn't be parallel to the ground cuz that means ur butt will be sticking upwards. your head to your legs should be in a straight line. its not necessary to squeeze all ur muscles as u're still learning how to do it properly. squeezing ur muscles at this stage is taking ur attention of pushing of the ground evenly with both hands. if you feel more ache on one side of the body it could be because of a few reasons. you didn't push evenly with both hands, or that one side of your body is more developed than the other, so the other does more and aches more. you can view my blog on how to do a standard pushup here: [link removed]
